About SpinDecide
SpinDecide is a free collection of spinner wheels and random pickers. It is built and maintained by one developer, Sudarshan Babar, as part of the getinfotoyou network of small, useful web tools.
Why SpinDecide exists
SpinDecide started in 2025 as a single yes-or-no wheel, built to settle the kind of small arguments that eat up an evening. It grew because people kept using it for things we had not planned: teachers picking students, streamers drawing giveaway winners, families sharing out chores. Each of those uses now has its own wheel, pre-filled and explained, so you can start spinning instead of typing.
Who is behind it
SpinDecide is designed, written and maintained by Sudarshan Babar, a software developer who builds the free tools on getinfotoyou.com. The same person writes the guides, tests every wheel and answers the email. If something is wrong, confusing or missing, tell us and it will get fixed.
How the wheels stay fair
Every spin picks the winning slice first, using the browser's cryptographic random number generator (crypto.getRandomValues) with rejection sampling so that no slice is favoured by rounding. The animation then lands at a random spot inside that slice. We check the whole pipeline with automated tests that run hundreds of spins and confirm that the slice under the pointer is always the one reported as the winner. The details, and the reasons behind them, are in is a spin wheel really random?
Your data
SpinDecide has no accounts and no database of your wheels. Options you type are kept in your own browser (local storage) so the wheel is still there next time. A share link carries the options inside the link itself. We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which wheels are popular, and ads to pay for hosting. The privacy policy lists exactly what is collected.
How SpinDecide is funded
The site is free and supported by a few display ads. Ads are kept away from the wheel and its editor, they never cover the result, and there are no pop-unders. We will not add paywalls to features that already exist.
Part of the getinfotoyou network
getinfotoyou builds small, fast, privacy-friendly tools: unit converters, calculators, text utilities and more. Each one does a single job well and runs in your browser. You can find the rest at getinfotoyou.com.
