How to embed a wheel

  1. Build your wheel

Open the wheel spinner or any ready-made wheel and edit the options, colours and title until it is exactly what you want.

  2. Copy the embed code

Press Share or embed under the wheel. Copy the code in the “Embed it on your website” box.

  3. Paste it into your page

In WordPress, add a Custom HTML block. In Google Sites, use Embed → Embed code. In Notion, type /embed and paste the link from inside the code. Most site builders have an HTML or embed block that works the same way.

What the embed looks like

The embedded wheel shows the wheel, the Spin button and the result pop-up. The editor is hidden, so your visitors spin your options rather than changing them. It is responsive: it shrinks to fit phones and grows to 640 pixels wide on larger screens. If you need it wider, change max-width in the code.

Good places to use an embedded wheel

  • A class website or learning platform page, so students can spin for a topic, a question or a reward.
  • A blog post that offers readers a random pick, such as a recipe or a writing prompt.
  • A giveaway announcement page where entrants can see the list of names being drawn from.
  • An internal team wiki, for picking who runs stand-up or who presents next.

Updating an embedded wheel

The options live inside the embed link. To change them, edit the wheel on SpinDecide, create a new embed code and replace the old one. Please keep the small credit link under the wheel; it is how other people find the tool.
