Privacy policy
Short version: your wheel options stay in your own browser. We use Google Analytics to count visits and third-party ad networks to fund the site, and both use cookies. This page explains the details and your choices.
Who we are
SpinDecide (spindecide.getinfotoyou.com) is operated by Sudarshan Babar as part of the getinfotoyou network. Contact: getinfotoyou@gmail.com.
What stays on your device
The options, colours and settings of each wheel are saved in your browser's local storage so the wheel is still there when you return. Your theme choice (light or dark) and sound preference are stored the same way. This data never leaves your device unless you create a share link. You can delete it at any time with the wheel's “Reset to default” button or by clearing your browser's site data.
Share links and embeds
When you create a share link or embed code, your options are encoded into the link itself. We do not store them on a server. Anyone who has the link can see the options, so do not put private information on a wheel you intend to share.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how many people visit, which pages they use and roughly where they come from. Google Analytics sets cookies and processes data such as your IP address, device type, browser and the pages you view. We do not send it the contents of your wheels. Google's own practices are described at How Google uses information from sites that use its services. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
Advertising
SpinDecide shows ads from third-party networks, currently Adsterra (including its HighPerformanceFormat and ProfitableRateCPM delivery domains). We may also use Google AdSense. These providers may use cookies, web beacons and similar technologies to show ads, limit how often you see them and measure their performance, and some may personalise ads based on your visits to this and other websites.
Where Google serves ads, third-party vendors including Google use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits. You can opt out of personalised Google advertising in Google Ads Settings, and of many third-party vendors at aboutads.info or youronlinechoices.eu.
Cookies and how to control them
SpinDecide itself does not need cookies to work. The cookies on this site come from analytics and ad providers. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the wheels and randomizers keep working without them.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, laws such as the GDPR, UK GDPR and CCPA/CPRA give you rights to access, correct or delete personal data and to object to certain processing, including the sale or sharing of personal information for advertising. Because we do not hold accounts or wheel data, most requests concern our analytics and ad partners; email us and we will help you exercise your rights with them.
Children
SpinDecide is used in classrooms, but it does not ask for or knowingly collect personal information from children. Teachers using a name picker should know that student names stay in the teacher's own browser.
Changes to this policy
If we change how data is handled, we will update this page and the date at the top.
