Number wheel 1 to 100
Spin to get a random number from 1 to 100, each with a one-in-a-hundred chance. With a hundred slices the wheel is too crowded to print every number, so it shows a ring of colours and the winning number appears large in the pop-up. It is built for ticket draws, guessing games and maths fun.
Press Spin, click the wheel, or press Ctrl + Enter.

How to run a numbered ticket draw
Match the wheel to the tickets
Set To to the highest ticket number you actually handed out, then press Build wheel, so unused numbers cannot win.
Turn on removal
In Settings, tick Remove the winner after each spin so a ticket cannot be drawn twice.
Draw in front of everyone
Press Full screen and spin once per prize, reading the number from the pop-up.
Keep a record
Open Results and press Copy to paste the winning numbers into a message or notice.
Why are there no numbers printed on the slices?
A hundred slices around one circle leaves each slice only a sliver wide, too narrow for a number anyone could read. Rather than print tiny, blurry labels, the wheel shows the slices as colours, and the result pop-up shows the winning number in large type. Every spin is also added to the Results list.
If your audience wants to read numbers off the wheel, use a smaller range. The labels are printed on wheels up to roughly 80 slices, and a 1 to 50 wheel is still clear on a projector. The custom number wheel lets you pick any range.
How do I draw numbered tickets fairly?
The most common mistake is spinning 1 to 100 when only 73 tickets went out. Then about a quarter of spins land on a number nobody holds. Before the draw, set To to your last ticket number. If tickets are missing from the middle of the sequence, paste the numbers you did sell into the raffle wheel instead, one per line, so only real tickets are on it.
Announce the rules before you spin: how many prizes, whether a ticket can win twice, and what happens if a winner is not in the room. The guide to running a fair giveaway covers those details for draws held online.
A guess-the-number game with the wheel
One player spins in secret, hiding the screen, and remembers the number. Everyone else takes turns guessing, and the spinner answers only “higher” or “lower”. A player who halves the remaining range each time will always find the number in seven guesses or fewer, which makes a neat maths discussion afterwards: why seven, and how many guesses would 1 to 1,000 need?
For a party twist, the closest guess after three rounds wins, rather than the exact one.
100 days of school activities
Many classes celebrate the hundredth day of the school year, and a 1 to 100 wheel slots straight into it. Spin a number and ask pupils to:
- find it on a hundred square and colour it in;
- say how many tens and how many ones it has;
- decide if it is odd or even, and name the numbers either side;
- work out how far it is from 100;
- count on from it in fives or tens.
Keep the pop-up on screen while pupils work, then press Spin again for the next round. More whole-class ideas are in spinner wheel games for classrooms.
Wheel or number generator for 1 to 100?
For one number at a time with an audience, spin the wheel. If you need, say, twenty numbers at once, or a whole list with no repeats sorted in order, the random number generator does it in a single click. For younger children who want to read the slices themselves, the 1 to 10 wheel is friendlier.
Frequently asked questions
Can I see which numbers have already been drawn?
Yes. Open Results under the wheel to see every number drawn this session, newest first. Press Copy to paste the list elsewhere. If Remove the winner after each spin is on, drawn numbers also disappear from the wheel.
How do I leave out numbers that were not sold?
If the unused numbers are at the end, lower the To value and press Build wheel. If there are gaps in the middle, type or paste only the sold numbers into the raffle wheel, which accepts a list of up to 200 entries.
How many guesses does it take to find a number from 1 to 100?
With higher-or-lower clues and a guess in the middle of the remaining range each time, seven guesses are always enough, because halving 100 seven times leaves a single number.
Can I make it 0 to 99 or 1 to 1,000?
Yes. Change From and To and press Build wheel. A number wheel holds up to 1,000 slices, so 1 to 1,000 fits exactly. For larger ranges, use the random number generator.
Is every number from 1 to 100 equally likely?
Yes. Every slice is the same size and each number has a 1% chance on each spin. Past results make no difference to the next spin.
