How to spin your own watchlist
Collect the titles
Copy the films you want to see from your notes, or from the watchlist in your streaming app.
Paste them in
Press Edit as text, clear the genres and paste the titles, one film per line.

Press Spin. The full title appears in the result pop-up, even when it is shortened on the slice.
Cross it off
After watching, delete the film with the cross beside it, so the wheel only ever holds titles you have not seen.
How do I pick a movie when we can’t decide?
Split the decision in two. First spin a genre, which narrows a streaming library of thousands to a single shelf. Then scroll only that genre and agree on a film, or better, spin again among three shortlisted titles. Most couples and families find the genre spin alone ends the stalemate, because it gives everyone the same starting point.
How do I put my own watchlist on the wheel?
Keep a running list of films people recommend in your phone’s notes. On movie night, press Edit as text, delete the genres and paste the list in; each line becomes a slice. The wheel holds up to 200 titles, and your list is saved in this browser, so it is waiting next time. As you watch films, remove them so the wheel only ever offers something new.
Long titles get shortened on the slices to fit, but the whole title appears in the result, so there is no need to abbreviate.
Family movie night rules that work
With children, let each person add two films they would be happy to watch, within the age rating you allow. Delete the Horror and Thriller slices from the genre wheel for younger viewers, or replace them with Superheroes and Animals. Then spin once, and the rule is that nobody complains about a film they put on the wheel themselves.

Can I make some films more likely than others?
Yes. Tick Use weights in Settings. Give a film that has sat on the list for months a weight of 3, and it becomes three times as likely as a new addition. Weights also help when one person is much keener on a genre; give it a 2 rather than letting them spin until it comes up.
Movie picking for couples and groups
For a two-person stand-off between two particular films, use the this or that wheel. For a group watching together from different homes, press Share or embed and send the link so everyone sees the spin with the same list. Frequently asked questions
Can I put TV series on the movie wheel too?
Yes. The wheel accepts any text, so you can mix films, series and even “rewatch a favourite”. Each option can be up to 60 characters, and you can colour films and series differently to tell them apart.
How do I stop the wheel choosing films we have seen?
Delete each film after watching it, or press Remove it and spin again in the result pop-up. The wheel saves your edited list in this browser, so watched films stay off it.
Does the wheel know what is on my streaming service?
No. It does not connect to any service and only picks from the options you type. Paste in the titles you know are available, and it will choose one of them.
Can I pick a film for kids only?
Yes. Remove genres that are not suitable, such as Horror and Thriller, or paste a list of films you have already approved. Every result will then be something you are happy for them to watch.
How many films can I add?
Up to 200. Beyond about twenty, the slice labels get small, but the winning title always appears in full in the pop-up and in the Results list.
